Decontamination Wash & Wax

What is a decontamination wash?

All car paint will become contaminated over time and it's important to remove these contaminants. Paint contamination consists of airborne chemicals, ferrous (iron containing) metals, industrial fallout, acid rain, bird droppings, road tar, bugs, brake dust, road salt, etc. Some of these contaminants, may come off the paint surface with a regular washing. However, other contaminants will actually penetrate or bond to the paint and, over time, eat into the clear coat. This can cause pitting, premature clear coat failure, and accelerated degradation of the paint. Therefore it's important to remove them before permanent damage is done.

Our Multi-step decontamination process consists of the following:

-Pressure wash to remove loose debris

-Hand Wash

-Chemical Decontamination to dissolve tar, brake dust, and other metals embedded in the clear coat

-Clay Bar to remove any contaminates the chemical decontamination missed

-Another Hand Wash to leave behind a clean and decontaminated surface

-Wax is applied
